Alexander College Eyes Campus Return on Feb. 7 With 50% of Courses To Resume In Person

Alexander College anticipates resuming some on-campus instruction and welcoming many of its students, staff, and faculty back to campus on Feb. 7, 2022, in accordance with the guidance of the Provincial Health Officer.

Provincial Health continues to strongly urge that on-campus instruction for post-secondary institutions (PSIs) in British Columbia be maintained as evidence to date indicates that BC PSIs are generally low-risk environments for COVID-19 transmission.

The dates, Jan. 10 to Feb. 4, 2022, are to be observed while all students are to attend courses via Zoom/Canvas.

The Burnaby campus of Alexander College is open, and important in-person services for students are available (e.g., Course Registration, Student Records, Bookstore & Student Financial Services, and Library).

Students should call the Student Information Line (604) 435-5815 for information on which services are available on campus during this time.

For Feb. 7, 2022 and beyond, with approximately half of the scheduled Winter 2022 courses returning to on-campus delivery, students who have registered for on-campus courses will begin attending these classes in person.

While the Alexander College Burnaby campus will remain fully operational, with all in-person student services available, students who have registered for virtual delivery courses will be able to attend their classes online.
