Top study destinations chosen by international students all over the world are one in the celebration of International Education Week (IEW), an annual event that celebrates the benefits of international education and exchange. The IEW is celebrated globally every third week of November.
All persons and institutions interested in international education and exchange, such as schools, colleges and universities, embassies, international organizations, enterprises, associations, and community organizations, are encouraged to participate.

Canada
From Nov. 15 to 19, the Government of Saskatchewan is proud to honor International Education Week. This week is observed in over a hundred nations to promote awareness of the value of cultural and intellectual exchange programs around the world.
According to Advanced Education Minister Gene Makowsky, international education is critical to Saskatchewan’s economic prosperity.
The government is trying to make Saskatchewan the preferred place for studying, living, working, and raising a family by leveraging its current foreign trade and investment offices, as well as developing its network of international partnerships.
Other Canadian higher education institutions also took part in the IEW by hosting different activities and programs.
United States
As a leading study destination for international students, the United States extends activities to other countries such as Egypt, Montenegro, and the Philippines, among others.
The U.S. Embassy in the Philippines and EducationUSA, the U.S. government’s official source of information on U.S. higher education, urge Filipinos interested in studying in the United States to participate in IEW programs from Nov. 15 to 19.
High school students interested in attending an authorized U.S. higher education institution may join EducationUSA’s virtual college writing workshop and financial aid tour.
The Embassy’s “Road to International Education” is also available to working professionals and those interested in graduate study in the United States.
Meanwhile, the eighth session of the Pathways to Opportunity series, hosted by EducationUSA and the Commission on Higher Education, will focus on best practices for establishing MOUs for higher education institutions.
United Kingdom
The British Council, the United Kingdom’s international organization for cultural relations and educational opportunities, created The Climate Connection this year to assist students and stakeholders in taking positive steps toward a greener future.
The lineup, which takes place the week after world leaders convene in Glasgow for the United Nations Climate Conference COP26, offers a variety of practical opportunities for schools to make a difference in the world.
