All international students attending a public university in Germany would be exempt from paying normal tuition rates, according to a decision made by the German government in October 2014. Foreign students will only be responsible for a few administrative charges, such as a student contribution, a student union fee, and a public transportation ticket, totaling roughly €250 per semester.

Top-Notch Higher Education Institutions

According to official records from 2018/2019, Germany has 429 public higher education institutions, 106 of which are universities.

Few of them have constantly been named among the greatest colleges in the world. Students respect these colleges for their educational quality, hands-on instruction, the opportunity to progress intellectually during and after graduation, and, most significantly, the safe and welcoming environment.

Wide Array of Degree Choices

In addition to having a significant number of universities, Germany has a diverse range of degree programs to meet everyone’s needs. Germany has made significant investments in engineering universities as an industrialized country, and engineering programs are highly respected at German universities at present. Also, these universities provide a wide range of degree programs, some of which are world-renowned like medicine and pharmacy.

German law allows international students to work part-time for up to 20 hours per week or 120 days per year. More than 60% of current international students work part-time while studying in Germany.

You don’t need a qualification in the first place because there are so many different jobs to choose from. Tutors, bartenders, administrative personnel, babysitters, and other similar occupations are common job positions among students in Germany.
