According to the rankings for the Best Online Programs in 2022 released by U.S. News & World Report on Jan. 25, Auburn University‘s online graduate programs are among the best in the country.
The College of Education is ranked No. 14 among colleges of education; the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering is ranked No. 17 among engineering colleges; the Harbert College of Business’ MBA program is ranked No. 31 among business colleges, as are its overall graduate programs; and the School of Nursing is ranked No. 76 among nursing schools.
According to Provost Bill Hardgrave, these rankings are a credit to the Auburn faculty’s creativity, talent, and dedication as they continue to provide excellent instruction in both traditional and online classrooms.
The institution assures to better their learning outcomes and engage more students across varied modalities as more students seek an Auburn education.
Auburn received best national distinctions for online programs for veterans at No. 4 for the College of Education, No. 11 for the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering, No. 16 for the Harbert College of Business’ total graduate programs, and No. 22 for the Harbert College’s MBA.
Individual programs also receiving “best” national designations include:
- College of Education: Educational Administration and Supervision, No. 5, and Curriculum and Instruction, No. 17;
- Samuel Ginn College of Engineering: Civil Engineering, No. 5, Mechanical Engineering, No. 11, Industrial Engineering, No. 14, Engineering Management, No. 17, and Computer Science and Software Engineering, No. 31;
- Harbert College of Business: Management, No. 10, Business Analytics, No. 12, and Finance, No. 15; and School of Nursing: Family Nurse Practitioner Programs, No. 10.
The university presently offers three online undergraduate completer programs—a Bachelor of Science in business administration, an RN to BSN, and a Bachelor of Computer Science—for students and professionals who have earned some college credits but desire to finish their degrees at Auburn.
The Department of Human Development and Family Science will add a completer program for its early child development concentration in the fall.
Student involvement and quality, faculty credentials and training, expert opinion and services, and technology are all elements considered in the U.S. News & World Report Best Online Programs rankings.
