Jhu Opens Opportunities For High-achieving Students With D.c. Scholars Program

Johns Hopkins University (JHU) announced on Feb. 12 the introduction of a new multifaceted program aimed at recognizing and connecting high-achieving students from Washington, D.C. with resources and opportunities during their four years at Hopkins.
The D.C. Scholars Program is a cohort experience with a two-tiered financial aid program for Washington D.C. graduates. Families earning up to $150,000 a year can send their children to public and public charter schools.

The program’s announcement came on the heels of the second round of Early Decision notifications for the Class of 2026, which will arrive on campus in the autumn of 2022.

Hopkins accepted 301 candidates from a pool of over 3,000 applicants, adding to the 520 Early Decision applicants who were accepted into the Class of 2026 in December.
