Must-See Attractions When Studying in the UAE

You can experience the country’s Bedouin past before delving into the forts that guarded the coastline before the high-rises dominated them. There are a lot of places to visit and things to do for the adventurous.

For ideas, see our list of the best places to visit while studying in the UAE:

Burj Khalifa

The Burj Khalifa is not only one of the UAE’s most famous buildings but also the world. Staunching tall at 828 meters, the Burj Khalifa is the world’s tallest building since 2010. It also has various titles such as “the highest observation deck in the world,” “tallest freestanding structure in the world,” and “elevator with the longest travel distance in the world.” Enjoy the building’s trip up to the deck with panoramic views across Dubai. It is a must-see destination for people who visit the country.

Sheikh Zayed Mosque

A mammoth of a mosque with incredible elegance and beauty, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque takes pride in its contemporary design and ancient craftsmanship. The mosque’s modern and ancient styles blend harmoniously, showcasing the beauty of Islamic architecture.

When you study in the UAE, you must add this to your itinerary. You will see interiors composed of gold, mosaic tiles, marble, and glasswork. It is truly a feast for the eyes.

The Desert

World-famous for a wide stretch of desert that hugs the coastline, the UAE is a great place for the adventurous. Find yourself doing outdoor activities such as dune-buggy, four-wheel-driving, hiking, sandboarding, and even camel treks. The majority of visitors plan their desert trips from Dubai, but Abu Dhabi and Fujairah are excellent sightseeing bases as well.

Hajar Mountains

The Hajar Mountains are filled with fun adventures, too. Since the mountains have created the jagged and wild heart of the country, you can expect twisting roads surrounded by stunning scenery. Hiking, trekking, and bird-watching are great opportunities for nature lovers. The dry riverbeds and valleys called wadis are Instagram-worthy and fun to explore.

Jebel Jais

Located in the emirate of Ras Al-Khaimah, Jebel Jais is the country’s highest peak. Back in the day, it was difficult to access Jebel Jais. The switchback roads made the twists and turns accessible at present.

You can see mountain vistas that roll right down to the sea at the top of the road’s viewing platforms. You can also throw yourself off the peak on the longest zipline in the world, covering over two kilometers from both sides of Jebel Jais.
