Niagara College Links Students And Alumni With Work Opportunities

Niagara College Canada will create a link between its students and alumni, as well as community residents, and potential employers in its upcoming Virtual Career Fair on Feb. 16.

The Virtual Career Fair, similar to the college’s successful in-person events held on campus prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, provides a one-stop online shop for job seekers to explore possibilities in their field of expertise and contact with companies.

NC’s Career Services and Community Employment Services divisions will present their second annual Virtual Career Fair. More than 60 businesses have signed up to take part in this year’s virtual event.

The Virtual Career Fair is designed to help both job seekers and companies by allows job searchers to engage digitally with employers from throughout Canada through one-on-one conversations, group sessions, and networking within their program region.

For the second year in a row, Canadian Niagara Hotels Inc., the country’s largest entertainment resort, will attend NC’s Virtual Career Fair, looking to fill more than 400 hospitality roles ranging from guest services and housekeeping to food and beverage and waterpark.

NC’s Career Services department provides students with a number of services, including one-on-one consultations with Career and Co-op Consultants and year-round access to the College’s MyCareer Portal for job postings.

Students benefit from team members’ assistance with application paperwork, interview preparation, and industry-specific expertise and connections to aid networking and a targeted job search approach.
