WSU to Aid Int’l Student Vaccination Upon Campus Return

The International Student and Scholar Services of Washington State University (WSU) is partnering with Cougar Health Services to aid international students to get easy access to the COVID-19 vaccine upon returning to the campus.

With around 7% of international students and scholars comprising the student population of WSU, Kate Hellmann, WSU International Programs Student and Scholar Services director, said they aim to make the return to campus as seamless as possible.

Hellman also said that some students were out of the country where vaccines are not as available as in the US. In response, CHS will likely launch a series of vaccine clinics during Week of Welcome, so students wishing to get the jab can receive the vaccine.

Domestic students must show proof of inoculation with a vaccine approved by the US, but international students can provide proof of receiving any vaccine authorized by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Students seeking more information can find it on the International Programs website.
