Key Takeaways:
- WSU partners with CHS to aid with the international student vaccination process
- Week of Welcome will have several vaccine clinics for incoming students
- All students who are vaccinated must present proof of COVID-19 vaccination at the campus
Washington State University (WSU)’s International Student and Scholar Services partners with Cougar Health Services (CHS) to ensure the safety of all incoming international students returning to campus. They will aid students in giving easy access to the COVID-19 vaccine.
During the Week of Welcome, CHS will have many vaccine clinics to accommodate all individuals who need the vaccine. According to Kate Hellman, WSU International Programs Student and Scholar Services Director, 7% of the student body falls under the international student and scholar category. The community is safe, and all guidelines set for the COVID-19 are followed to support everyone, including the international students.
All students eligible to work inside the campus under the F-1 student visa need to be vaccinated first. All domestic students must also show their proof of vaccination of any US-approved vaccine, while international students can provide proof of World Health Organization (WHO) approved vaccines.
WSU is excited to welcome all returning students as they contribute a lot to the development of the entire community. For more information about the university’s COVID-19 health protocol, please see here.
