Intakes in Australia

February (also known as Semester 1) is the main intake in Australia and for most courses, almost all universities offer almost all courses during the February intake. As in most countries, primary universities have the largest number of courses offered in the main intake.

The July intake offers a limited number of colleges with a limited number of courses to choose from. These two are major contributions to Australia.

There are also other registrations such as those of September and November in Australia with even fewer courses. Professional courses have admissions for January, May, or July, depending on the course and university.

Job prospects of studying in Australia

International students are allowed to work up to 20 hours a week while studying in Australia. This turns out to be a great opportunity for those who need to bring in cash to balance their daily expenses while visiting, and for students who need to better understand working in their income field during their studies.

Australia’s Student visa (subclass 500) policies have altered as of July 1, 2016. The previous Subclasses 571 through 576 have been combined into Subclass 500.
The new regulations allow students traveling to Australia on a Visa Subclass 500 to work for up to 40 hours every two weeks while their course is in session and for an unlimited number of hours when it is not. The sole restriction is that the student cannot start working before the course even officially begins.
It serves as an example of the type of work that international students can expect to perform while studying in Australia. A student might put in 10 hours the first week and 30 hours the second, or 15 and 25 hours, respectively. To avoid violating the restriction of 40 hours in a fortnight, which could lead to visa cancellation, if the student works 30 hours in week 2, he or she can only work 10 hours the following week. A student who wants to continue working part-time should try to keep their workweek to no more than 20 hours.
